Full Job Description
When you join our team as a cashier, you are responsible for processing customer purchases efficiently while providing excellent service to keep customers coming back for more. You will also make the store clean and tidy, put misplaced items back on the shelf, and keep your store clean and tidy.

- Position Type : Part Time
- Average Hours : Fewer than 30 hours per week
- Starting wage : $17.50/hour
Duties & Responsibilities of ALDI Cashier Jobs in Chicago City
- Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, and return misplaced items to shelves.
- Provide excellent customer service and help customers with their shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with the store management team
- Provide feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general problems.
- Participate in store inventory management according to policies and accurately monitor inventory
- Comply with cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Comply with all other established company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to line managers.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of documents and data within the scope of responsibility
- Other duties assigned as per requirements.
Physical Demands at ALDI Store
- Must be capable of carry out obligations without or with affordable accommodation.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.

- Provide fast and courteous customer service
- Ability to run cash registers efficiently and accurately
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work alone or in a team environment
- Effective time management.
- Knowledge of company products and services
- Comply with all state and local requirements regarding the handling and sale of alcoholic beverages.

Educational Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
